This banjo is a 1937 Gibson TB7. The tenor neck to the left is the original neck, and the 5 string neck on the banjo is one that I made. The peghead is a very close Gibson replica, as is the color and finish, the Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, the binding, the fingerboard radius, and the truss rod. The inlays are close replicas, except they are scaled to fit the taper of the neck better than those on the original 5 string necks were done, and the little slashes in the “bow ties” are more consistent from one to another than the originals. I can build necks that are replicas, or I can add design “improvements” like on this one.
